Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation seeks an Academic Success Advisor to help learners navigate their educational journey, connect to resources, and support persistence and career readiness.

The role operates on Tempe and West Valley campuses, primarily located at West Valley, with travel to other ASU campuses as needed. The position offers hybrid arrangements and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Student Affairs, Education, Counseling or closely related field.
• At least 1 year of advising/teaching in college/university environments or related student services experience.
• Knowledge of evidence-based academic advising principles and ASU's structure, policies, and resources.
• Commitment to student-centered service and supporting a diverse student population.
• Experience assessing student needs, providing guidance, and making referrals to campus resources.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with students, faculty, staff, and partners.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, policies, and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, videoconferencing, research tools, and SIS like PeopleSoft, DARS, iPOS, Salesforce, dashboards.

Responsabilités

• Advise education majors and students across multiple programs in campus immersion and online modalities.
• Build meaningful relationships and guide students through their educational journey.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic academic advising.
• Guide students through academic planning, goal setting, and career exploration.
• Use Salesforce, Advisor Portal, and other systems to monitor progress and document feedback.
• Address student questions, resolve issues, and promote satisfaction with programs.
• Use data and predictive indicators for proactive outreach and interventions.
• Participate in planning of welcome events, advising updates, and retention initiatives.
• Collaborate with supervisors, faculty, staff, and partners to implement policies and workflows.
• Assist students in navigating university policies and degree requirements.
• Advocate for students while balancing institutional policies and academic expectations.
• Promote accountability, inclusion, and care in all interactions.
