Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of PR experience, agency preferred.
• Experience pitching the media and securing coverage for clients.
• Creative writing experience including press releases, media pitches, and social media content.
• Strong aesthetic, point of view and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Photoshop.
• Exemplary working knowledge of all social and digital media platforms.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation of strategies, press releases, timelines, reports, and other collateral for clients.
• Monitor incoming press coverage.
• Establish and build relationships with local, national and regional media outlets.
• Ensure press reports are sent to clients to show results and press coverage.
• Craft and send pitches to relevant media outlets about client activities.
• Interface with clients including media coordination, pertinent updates, and call agendas.
• Staff client events and press tours as needed.
• Maintain and create media lists and editorial calendars.
• Support with general administrative duties i.e. copying, filing, and phone calls as needed.
