Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown, PC is seeking a Real Estate Audit Manager to lead engagements for real estate clients from our east coast offices. You will oversee planning, staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with partners.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA license, and 5+ years of public accounting experience with real estate audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA license required.
• 5+ years public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Experience auditing real estate or related organizations.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Leading engagement teams on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations for real estate clients.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of audit engagements including staffing, planning, and risk assessment.
• Supervising staff and coordinating with senior managers and partners.

• Managing multiple engagements and deadlines across teams.
• Creating and tracking engagement budgets for efficiency improvements.
• Delivering professional development and mentoring to staff.
