Job summary

Saint Francis School is seeking an experienced and compassionate educator to join our team in a hybrid role supporting our Specialized Reading Program and serving as a Supply Teacher.

The position offers variety while helping students grow academically, with a daily rate of $150. Ideal candidates have training or interest in structured literacy, reading intervention, Orton-Gillingham, or similar approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience with struggling readers or reading interventions.
• Training or interest in structured literacy approaches.
• Classroom teaching, tutoring, or learning-support experience.

Responsibilities

• Support students receiving specialized reading instruction and intervention.
• Collaborate with Specialized Reading staff to reinforce literacy skills.
• Provide individual or small-group support as appropriate.
• Serve as a Supply Teacher across classrooms when needed.
• Follow lesson plans and classroom expectations while teaching.
• Build positive relationships and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and the academic support team.
