Job summary

Heartland Community Health Center’s Healthy Futures Mobile Dental Program is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to deliver preventive dental care in schools and clinic sites in Lawrence, KS, blending outreach with in-clinic care. The RDH will perform cleanings, X-rays, sealants, and patient education while collaborating with medical teams to improve children’s health.

Documentation, infection control, and a flexible schedule (including 4-day weeks) are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) program.
• Minimum of one year of experience preferred; CPR certification required.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy regulations and ability to follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and rehabilitative dental care, including prophylaxis, sealants, X-rays, and assessments.
• Rotate to community outreach and in-clinic care settings.
• Educate patients on oral health, flossing, and brushing techniques.
• Maintain infection control protocols and proper PPE usage.
• Document procedures and data in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with medical teams to support integrated care delivery.
