Job summary

Heartland Community Health Center – Lawrence, KS is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) for our Healthy Futures Mobile Dental Program. This hybrid role blends school-based outreach with in-clinic care at Heartland locations to expand access to preventive dental services for children.

You will perform cleanings, sealants, X-rays, and other preventive care, while collaborating with the Chief Dental Officer and care teams.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RDH license required.
• Graduate of a certified RDH program.
• CPR certification required and maintained.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to the social and cultural needs of diverse populations.
• Proficient in documentation in electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care including cleanings, sealants, X-rays.
• Perform caries control and periodontal services.
• Rotate between school-based outreach and in-clinic care.
• Educate patients on oral health and at-home care.
• Maintain infection control and PPE protocols.
• Document procedures accurately in EHR.
