Job summary

Foster McKay seeks a Manager, Central Accounting – Record to Report in New Jersey. You will lead day-to-day R2R activities, drive close processes, and ensure SOX controls and governance are embedded across centralized accounting functions.

You will supervise analysts and outsourced teams, partner with Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit, and optimize ERP tools. A strong background in GAAP, controls, and process improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and audit support.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and accounting operations best practices.
• Experience supervising staff and outsourced/shared-service accounting teams (3+ years).
• Experience with ERP/close/reconciliation tools; SAP and BlackLine strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and monthly execution of centralized R2R activities including journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany postings, and close deliverables.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar; monitor completion and escalate risks.
• Review and approve journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with Corporate Accounting, Consolidations, Treasury, Tax, Financial Systems on close dependencies and issue resolution.
• Prepare recurring reporting packages, P&L and balance-sheet analysis, audit schedules, and inquiries.
