Job summary

Foster McKay is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. The role requires preparing journal entries, reconciling ledgers, and ensuring GAAP compliance. You will assist with audits and work cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues while maintaining strong internal controls.

The position is hybrid in Morris County, NJ, and reports to the Sr. Manager, Accounting. A CPA and public accounting background are highly valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; CPA required.
• Public accounting experience preferred, Big 4 advantageous.
• 2-6 years in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure GAAP compliance in all records.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with internal and external audits and related schedules.
• Identify process improvements and support SOX controls.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
