Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our South Wales team, with hybrid working options from home or our Newport office. You will manage project costs, prepare timely reports, and provide data-driven commercial insight to support delivery teams.

You will apply NEC contract knowledge across projects from initial tendering through procurement and handover, ensure robust cost control, and maintain strong client relationships to deliver value and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Practical mindset with strong maths and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites in South Wales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure robust cost management processes with timely reports and data.
• Identify and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Explain contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
• Support clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Work across project sites in South Wales with hybrid/home flexibility.
