Job summary

IBM Infrastructure seeks an Entry Level QA/Test Developer to ensure quality, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise software solutions. You will design and execute testing strategies, develop automated test coverage, and collaborate with product teams to embed quality from start to finish.

You will participate in CI/CD pipelines, perform root-cause analysis, and help drive continuous quality improvements in a hybrid work environment at IBM.

Qualifications

• Understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA principles.
• Experience creating and executing manual and automated test cases.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and command-line environments.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems testing.
• Knowledge of Git and source control practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans (functional, integration, system, regression).
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve coverage.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to embed quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution.
• Validate new features and fixes against requirements and non‑functional needs.
• Participate in code/design reviews and agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing and quality gates.
• Monitor quality metrics and suggest process/tool improvements.
• Create and maintain test documentation, validation reports, and QA standards.
