Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong UI testing expertise to ensure quality during the modernization of a government information system.

The role focuses on UI validation, accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG), cross-browser testing, and CI/CD integration for Java-based web applications and backend services in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Strong UI testing expertise including accessibility (Section 508/WCAG) and cross-browser validation.
• Proficiency with defect tracking systems and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and backend APIs (Solr, REST).
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements for government systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios and verify security controls.
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and manage defect tracking.
