Job summary

Hendy Group is seeking a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to lead a busy Purchase Ledger team, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments. The role will involve driving process improvements, maintaining financial controls and resolving complex supplier queries.

The position offers a mix of office and home working, with hours Mon-Fri 8:30–17:00. Hendy Group is a family-run business with 80+ sites along the South Coast, dating back 165 years.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable or Finance environment.
• Experience supervising or managing a small team.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Purchase Ledger processes, from invoice receipt to payment.
• Experience with supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the Purchase Ledger team to deliver results.
• Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and timely.
• Resolve complex supplier and stakeholder queries.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Support timely payments to suppliers and drive process improvements.
• Carry out supplier account reconciliations and maintain records.
