AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Property Subrogation Adjuster to conduct prompt, independent review of subrogation claims through coverage analysis, investigation and negotiation.

You will interact with insureds, claimants, adverse parties and counsel on mid-size to mid-complex claims across jurisdictions. The role supports a hybrid in-office schedule and requires solid insurance knowledge, strong investigation and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage time in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of subrogation claims handling experience OR a strong understanding of liability determinations with an aptitude to learn.
• State licensure as required.
• Property Subrogation experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suites.
• Demonstrated skills in investigation, evaluation and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of insurance theory and practices.

Responsabilités

• Investigates the property claim or coverage by contacting involved or interested parties including the insured or employer representatives, claimant or injured party, witnesses, producers and adverse parties.
• Documents strategy, action plan, and summary of correspondence in a clear, succinct and fact-based manner
• Verifies liability and negligence scenario for the jurisdiction. Reviews issues and scenarios as needed with supervisor guidance. Drafts positions using standard language.
• Notifies all potential parties, legal representatives and insurance companies of our subrogation interest.
• Ensures quality and timely service is provided to all internal and external customers, directly or indirectly.
• Works with internal or assigned Legal Counsel to build relationships and apply company principles and standards
• Effectively negotiates and resolves litigated and non-litigated subrogation claims, leveraging relationships for outcomes.
• Gains trust of other parties to negotiations and demonstrates good timing.
• Manages and controls loss adjustment expenses
• Builds critical thinking and decision-making skills to assess and interpret key issues.
• Manages time and diary entries effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Escalates claims decisions regarding settlement when appropriate to management.
• Performs other functional duties as assigned.
