Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Property Claims Adjuster to manage a portfolio of commercial property claims of moderate complexity. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims with a focus on timely and fair resolutions.

The role combines fieldwork and desk-based claim management using advanced claims technology. You will interact with contractors, engineers, and policyholders while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commercial property experience required.
• Experience handling property claims, preferably commercial property losses.
• Strong understanding of property damage assessment, coverage analysis, investigation techniques, and claim resolution practices.
• Experience working with contractors, public adjusters, engineers, restoration vendors, and legal representatives.
• Ability to inspect properties, evaluate damages, and determine appropriate claim outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a diverse inventory of commercial property claims from first notice through resolution.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims within policy provisions and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct on-site inspections of damaged properties to assess losses and gather evidence.
• Utilize virtual inspection technology to evaluate damages and expedite resolution.
• Analyze policies, contracts, estimates, and other materials to determine coverage and damages.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits and recommend resolutions on higher-exposure claims.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Proactively communicate claim status and maintain high level of customer service.
