Placements24 is seeking an experienced Property Development Project Manager to oversee multiple projects from conception through completion in the East London region. The role combines site-based oversight with office planning and coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in project management within construction or property development, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and solid knowledge of SA codes and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 6+ years of proven project management experience in property development or construction.
• Experience managing multiple development projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of building codes and SA property development regulations.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Manage all property development lifecycle phases from initiation to handover.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines and budgets.
• Select and manage contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Oversee design development and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct site inspections for progress, quality and safety.
• Manage project finances including budgeting and cost forecasting.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, communities and internal teams.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and environmental regulations.
