The position supports adherence to guidelines, collaborates with the underwriting team, and uses multiple data sources to ensure accurate pricing while assisting clients with tailored

Qualifications

• 1-5 years P&C underwriting or related insurance experience required.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, License, etc. a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
• Willing to work hybrid out of Los Angeles or Carlsbad office

Responsibilities

• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies to maintain profitability.
• Approve or decline insurance applications within limits and prepare referrals for higher-risk submissions.
• Ensure underwriting activities comply with regulations.
• Document underwriting files with risk analyses and pricing.justification
• Offer recommendations to clients to reduce exposure to risk.
• Collaborate with underwriting team to finalize applications efficiently.
• Use databases to gather data and compare risks for accurate pricing.
• Assist customers with guidance tailored to their insurance needs.
• Process quotes through policy issuance with accuracy.
