Job summary

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC) is seeking an Underwriting Assistant for the Excess team to support senior underwriters with new and renewal accounts, risk assessment, and loss data. This developing role offers hybrid work options for Buffalo, NY or Carlsbad, CA, or remote work from Lincoln, NE or Phoenix, AZ.

You will analyze exposures, collect and review risk documentation, and assist in calculations of rates and premiums while collaborating with the underwriting team to ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of P&C underwriting or related P&C underwriting support experience.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or P&C broker licenses are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Assess loss history and current financial condition for cases using exposures and risk analysis.
• Review documentation to determine eligibility and risk, and decide if an account is worth accepting.
• Perform preliminary reviews of submissions to identify errors and omissions.
• Collaborate with underwriting to finalize applications efficiently.
• Use multiple databases to gather and verify data for submissions.
• Handle inbound calls and connect customers with team members for a seamless experience.
• Provide guidance to customers tailored to their insurance needs.
