Job summary

K&A Power Group in Melville, NY is seeking a Project Support Specialist to join our energy and utility projects. Youll support the FEMA Team, assist with material reconciliation, record data, track schedules, and help update work orders using SAP and Excel.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree, 6 years of related experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project. Hybrid schedule in Melville NY; salary range 70k–78k.

Qualifications

• A four year college degree is preferred, majoring in Business Administration or related field.
• 6 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires some managerial oversight/direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrable quantitative and analytical skills.
• Utility background is preferred.
• Previous experience utilizing basic computer applications MS Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Microsoft Project experience is a plus as is prior work on a federally funded project.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of material reconciliation process.
• Provide project based assistance and support to the FEMA Team.
• Anticipate upcoming responsibilities or needs and use initiative appropriately.
• Utilize SAP to record data, update New/Current information, update work orders, track schedules and export into Excel.
