Job summary

SGS is seeking a Project Manager for the Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory to join the Client Services team. The role acts as client advocate and lab liaison, managing a portfolio with support from PM Assistants. Hybrid work is expected, with 3–5 days onsite.

You will coordinate from initial quote to invoicing, ensuring on-time delivery and client satisfaction. The pay ranges from $55,000 to $65,000, with benefits including 401K, paid vacation, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree or equivalent industry experience and 1–2 years in sciences or customer service.
• Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field; 2–3 years PM Assistant preferred.
• Advanced oral and written communications.
• Strong self-initiative and resourcefulness.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Advanced mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Acts as main point of contact for a dedicated list of clients with lower complexities and spend.
• Assists client with project setup: initial quote, supply order, sample receipt, data reporting, invoicing.
• Fosters relationships with client, lab operations, and sales to support long-term partnerships.
• Serves as client liaison to laboratory to meet timelines and project scope.
• Keeps accounts up to date and accurately managed.
• Monitors status and provides proactive updates to client, lab operations, and sales.
• Understands project rationale, regulations (e.g., NPDES), and lab methods.
• Documents and executes client requests (bottle orders, tracking, LIMS, changes).
• Reviews data and invoicing for accuracy before final reports.
• Participates in offsite/virtual client meetings with Sales.
• Promotes SGS positively inside and outside the lab.
• Performs other duties to support quality, service, growth.
