Job summary

Performance Contracting Inc. seeks a Project Engineer in Anaheim, CA to support QA/QC measures, interpret drawings, and drive takeoffs, material orders and change orders.

You’ll create schedules, forecast staffing, and coordinate with field supervisors to keep projects on track. This role requires a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field and 1 year of construction project experience, with proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6 and related tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer or related occupation in the construction industry.
  • Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project for scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and change orders across multiple commercial construction projects.
  • Interpreting and applying local, state, and federal building codes (IBC, ADA) to ensure project compliance.
  • Cost estimation software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Quickbid, BlueBeam Revu, PlanGrid, Navisworks Manage for quantity takeoffs and pricing.
  • Reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to coordinate subcontractors and resolve field conflicts.
  • Procurement planning, vendor coordination, and tracking material deliveries to avoid delays.
  • On-site inspections to verify quality and safety, with field reporting via Raken or Fieldwire.
  • Reviewing submittals and shop drawings for conformance with project specs.

Responsibilities

  • Support QA/QC measures per the QA/QC program.
  • Identify changes to customer-provided system, drawings and arrangements.
  • Perform quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen.
  • Use schedules to forecast material and manpower requirements.
  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
  • Order materials and coordinate material purchases and field communications.
  • Support job cost control via monthly FAWs on assigned projects.
  • Maintain positive customer relations and participate in the Customer Alignment Plan.
  • Hybrid telecommuting permitted: four days per week in office required.
