Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. You will help plan, budget, forecast, and report on projects, providing insights to keep initiatives on schedule and within budget.

Working in a hybrid environment, you will develop time‑phased cost estimates, monitor resource requirements, and support Earned Value Management to support project decisions and client communications.

Qualifications

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations.
• Gathers project progress information from project team members to update and monitor the project.
• Performs Earned Value Management and basic financial analyses.
• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for projects.
• Develops integrated critical path schedules for portions of routine projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses observations with supervisor and project manager.
