Job summary

Integrated Openings Solutions, LLC in Washington, DC is seeking a Project Accountant to manage the full accounting lifecycle for complex projects, collaborating with Project Managers, customers, and vendors to ensure financial accuracy.

You will own accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, cash flow, and WIP reporting, while maintaining data integrity across systems and supporting monthly close with journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in project billing and accounts receivable, including hands-on collections.
• Experience in construction, engineering or project-based accounting environments.
• Familiarity with AIA billing formats and lien waivers.
• Exposure to job cost accounting principles and reporting.
• Experience working in Business Central; Comsense is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead controllership and accounting functions supporting field operations across multiple entities.
• Develop and maintain project-level cash flow forecasts aligned with budgets.
• Prepare and issue accurate client invoices for goods and services per contract milestones.
• Process incoming payments to project accounts and monitor aging receivables.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Track job costs and collaborate with PMs on budgets and cost projections.
• Support WIP reporting and revenue recognition; assist monthly close and reconciliations.
