Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Project Accountant in Charlotte, NC for a contract role. The successful candidate will manage construction project billing, monitor WIP reporting, and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financials.

You will handle AIA billings, SOV maintenance, lien waivers, and timely submission while supporting audit documentation. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Viewpoint Vista are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of related experience in construction accounting, job cost, project billing, or construction project accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field; bachelor's preferred.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista and Excel for billing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit AIA and standard billings per contract requirements.
• Review contracts and billing instructions to ensure deadlines and forms.
• Maintain Schedule of Values (SOV) and update billings accordingly.
• Review change orders for financial impact and reflect in billing.
• Collect lien waivers and required documentation for billing packages.
• Meet billing deadlines and maintain accurate, auditable records.
• Submit billings via customer portals and transfer to Accounts Receivable as needed.
