Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a growing construction management firm to hire a Project Accountant in Chestnut Hill, MA. This hybrid role starts with onsite training and then blends in-office and remote work as projects allow.

You will work with Project Managers and Accounting to support financial reporting, billing, and forecasting across the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in project accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with job costing, AIA

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project accounting experience; construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, retainage, and lien waivers.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP/construction accounting software (Sage, Procore, etc.) preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage owner billings and project budgets
• Review contracts for billing requirements, retainage, and compliance
• Process invoices, job cost allocations, and subcontractor documentation
• Maintain project forecasts and assist with monthly financial reporting
• Support audits, project closeouts, and financial record management
