Job summary

Waymo, based in Mountain View, CA, seeks a Regulatory Readiness & Enablement professional to partner with policy, safety, security and privacy teams from ideation to deployment. This hybrid role reports to the Lead, Regulatory Readiness & Enablement.

You will manage compliance with global vehicle traffic laws, coordinate with engineers and outside counsel, track requirements, and help automate regulatory processes while ensuring alignment with product and strategy teams.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years focusing on vehicle codes or similar regulatory issues.
• Experience working with legal teams and engineers or product managers.
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to automate where possible.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with global vehicle traffic laws and regulations.
• Manage intake and communications between stakeholders and outside counsel.
• Maintain electronic recordkeeping of requirements and change logs.
• Identify new or changed laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and lawyers to maintain the Road Rules program.
• Escalate issues to resolution.
