Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Sr Program Controls Specialist in Allentown, PA, with a hybrid work schedule. You will deliver cost analysis, process improvements, and performance tracking for complex, multi-site programs, partnering with cross-functional teams and global program management leaders.

You will report to the Sr Program Controls Manager and bring strong budgeting, forecasting, earned value, and SAP Project System experience. Relocation to Allentown is required if not local.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Business, or Finance with 5+ years of Project Controls experience (or 10+ years of Project Controls experience in lieu of a degree)
• 5+ years’ experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, automation, or electronics industry
• MS Office and SAP applications (Project Accounting module) experience
• 5+ years’ experience with finance & cash flow – concepts, processes, planned, actual, forecast
• 5+ years of knowledge of cost estimating, tracking and control
• 5+ years’ experience with contracts and business planning & analysis
• 5+ years’ analytical and problem-solving skills experience
• Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Allentown, PA area, regardless of current state of residence (including Texas or other states).

Responsibilities

• Provide project planning support, define scopes, establish WBS and budgets on projects
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of project reports and forecasts for costs, revenue, and billing
• Support cost monitoring and control standards, systems and reports
• Assist with budget allocation and cost control for project portions
• Support project risk and trend management programs
• Ensure project controls activities are executed timely and according to standards
• Develop program plans, establish baseline budgets, milestones and apply earned value methods
• Analyze and validate project costs and performance status
• Maintain budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles including EAC and variance analysis
• Analyze ITD and ETC costs; support EAC forecasts
• Help manage project margins with Project Managers
• Support change management processes and systems
• Identify and troubleshoot with SAP Project System for equipment forecast
• Coordinate invoicing milestones and ensure GAAP compliance
• Resolve supplier invoice issues with stakeholders
• Track PO delivery dates in SAP and maintain monthly reviews
• Manage receivables and payables on allocations
• Incorporate approved change orders into cost baselines
• Participate in project reviews and provide cost assessments and proactive advice
• Contribute to development of project controls tools and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with project control procedures on allocated projects
• Participate in internal and external audits
