Job summary

Sony is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer in San Diego to help safeguard consumer safety and drive operational excellence. You will coordinate cross-functional projects, review safety reports, and manage investigations while maintaining CRM records.

The role collaborates with teams globally and supports training materials, process improvements, and liability assessments. A hybrid work setup applies, with standard business hours and on-site Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• No supervisory or management experience required.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Safety Alerts daily, determine actions, and contact end users for additional information.
• Respond promptly to call center inquiries about end-user safety questions.
• Review safety evaluation reports by third-party servicers and record results in CRM.
• Conduct product evaluations and root-cause analysis with photos, tests, and summaries.
• Review calls to identify trends and determine handling of safety concerns.
• Prepare Reliability Incident Reports and submit details to HQ Quality Center and Japan groups.
• Create CRM records for new claims and manage follow-ups and escalations.
• Review CPS Commission portal items and determine handling practices.
• Evaluate quarterly service reports, identify improvements, and implement processes.
