Job summary

O-I is seeking a Procurement Intern in Perrysburg, Ohio, offering hands-on exposure to the end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle within a global manufacturing environment. You will support real procurement initiatives, work with suppliers and plant stakeholders, and gain ownership of cost-saving projects.

You will collaborate with an assigned Procurement Specialist to learn how sourcing decisions impact operations across North America, with on-site and limited remote activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field.
• Experience with RFx processes, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Military experience considered for leadership, structure and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost-saving and supplier optimization initiatives.
• Support data analysis, reporting, and sourcing documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and plant stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives and resolve issues.
• Track RFx activities, supplier information, and contract data.
• Shadow procurement professionals to learn supplier negotiations and cross-functional collaboration.
