Job summary

O-I is seeking a Procurement Intern in Perrysburg, Ohio, offering hands-on exposure to the end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle within a global manufacturing environment. You will support real procurement initiatives, work with suppliers and plant stakeholders, and gain ownership of cost-saving projects.

You will collaborate with an assigned Procurement Specialist to learn how sourcing decisions impact operations across North America, with on-site and limited remote activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field.
• Experience with RFx processes, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

This is a hybrid internship based in Perrysburg, Ohio. Interns are expected to work on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to maximize collaboration, mentorship, and exposure to the business, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.

About The Role

Education and Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior internship, co‑op, or relevant academic project experience preferred
• Interest in strategic sourcing concepts such as RFx processes, supplier research, spend analysis, and cost‑saving initiatives
• Interest in supplier interactions and analytical concepts, with the ability to support activities under guidance
• Strong interest in developing analytical and problem‑solving skills, including basic cost or total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts
• Military experience considered, particularly where it demonstrates leadership, structure, analytical thinking, or problem‑solving skill
