O‑I Glass, Inc. in Perrysburg, Ohio, offers a hybrid Procurement Internship to gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end sourcing.

You will work with a Procurement Specialist, support cost-saving initiatives, analyze supplier spend, and learn how sourcing decisions impact North America manufacturing operations. This role provides mentorship from seasoned professionals, collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and real ownership of projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior internship, co‑op, or relevant academic project experience preferred
• Interest in strategic sourcing concepts such as RFx processes, supplier research, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives
• Interest in supplier interactions and analytical concepts, with ability to support activities under guidance
• Strong interest in developing analytical and problem‑solving skills, including basic cost or total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts
• Military experience considered, particularly where it demonstrates leadership, structure, analytical thinking, or problem‑solving skill

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers and plant stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives, resolve issues, and ensure business needs are met

• Shadow experienced Procurement professionals to gain exposure to supplier negotiations, relationship management, and strategic decision-making in a global manufacturing environment

Job Description

This is a hybrid internship based in Perrysburg, Ohio. Interns are expected to work on‑site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to maximize collaboration, mentorship, and exposure to the business, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
