Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a full-time summer Process Mechanical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team on water and wastewater related projects. You will assist senior engineers with design tasks, construction documents, and fieldwork under mentorship, gaining hands-on experience across process mechanical disciplines.

You'll work with CAD designers to translate requirements into construction drawings, produce specifications, and participate in site inspections.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation.
• Good written and verbal communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.
• Assist with design tasks, construction document production and field support.
• Participate in design coordination and execution of projects for planning and construction.
• Engage in technical writing and detailing construction drawings.
• Produce specifications and perform site inspections.
• Support during construction including submittal review and RFI responses.
