Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineering Intern for Summer 2027.

You will support professional engineers on water projects, assist with project coordination, data collection, and use design software as you gain practical exposure. The role is ideal for a BS candidate who is a rising senior, with MS Office skills, interest in water treatment processes, and prior related internship experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
• Must be at least a rising senior.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Familiarity and interest with water/wastewater treatment processes and design.
• GPA around 3.0 and ArcGIS familiarity are preferred.
• Previous internship related to the field is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and strong time management.

Here's what you'll need

* In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program

* Must be at least a rising Senior

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

* Familiarity and interest with water/wastewater treatment processes and design.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

* 3.0 GPA

* Working knowledge of ArcGIS

* A previous internship related to your field of study

* Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs

* Self-driven time management and organizational skills

* Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
