Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a summer Process Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist engineers in designing facilities like water/wastewater pump stations and conveyance systems. You will be mentored by engineers and CAD designers to translate process requirements into construction drawings and specifications.

The role offers hands-on design, field tasks, and construction support across projects, with a hybrid work policy allowing part-time in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation; strong MS Office skills.
• Good written and verbal communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• EIT/EI or on track to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.
• Perform technical and project tasks using standard design engineering techniques.
• Assist with design, coordination, and execution of projects for planning, reports and calculations.
• Engage in technical writing, markup construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform field work tasks and site inspections.
• Assist with services during construction including submittal reviews and RFIs.
