Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $160,000–$200,000 annually

Work Arrangement: Primarily On-site (5 days/week)

Working Hours: Typically 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, depending on customer meetings and business needs

Travel: Less than 10% (Domestic and International)

Our client, a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated Wet Process and Applications Engineer to support the development, integration, and sales of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

This role requires strong technical leadership, project management skills, and the ability to initiate, engage and lead cross-functional collaborations to deliver high-performance solutions for customers.

Position Description

Our client is seeking a Wet Process and Applications Engineer to support its expanding business needs in the US and the development of new manufacturing processes for advanced semiconductor devices in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Work in a laboratory setting to identify potential solutions for customer processing challenges.
• Lead onsite development engagements between the company and customer R&D engineering teams.
• Work with partners and the company's service engineering team to understand, document and propose future hardware and process requirements and communicate these to the factory development team based in Japan.
• Work proactively with partners to develop new and improved cleaning and wet etching applications for advanced semiconductor applications on single wafer and batch tools.
• Prepare clear status reports for technical and executive management teams and for customers.
• Identify product solutions to solve customer needs and communicate clearly to customer engineering and sales teams.
• Accurate and effective communication is essential in this position. Japanese language skills are beneficial but not required.
• This position will be primarily based in Hillsboro. Opportunities will arise to travel to Japan and within the USA to support wafer demos and attend internal meetings (less than 10%).
• Work closely with US Sales and sales support teams to promote the full range of products through regular customer meetings as well as higher level technical review meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in wet process engineering in a research and development role at a device manufacturer, or a semiconductor equipment manufacturer.
• Understanding of wet clean and etching processes, process integration, and applications is a must for this position.
• Familiarity with single wafer tools is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided from process and process experts.
