Job summary

Merck & Co., Rahway, NJ, is seeking a Scientist/Engineer based in West Point, PA or Rahway, NJ for pharmaceutical process development and supply for small molecule solid dosage drugs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with required experience.
• Strong communication skills, technical writing ability, and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and in GMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and interpret pharmaceutical process development studies (scale-up, tech transfer, DOE).
• Participate in drug product development teams and cross-functional interactions.
• Apply Quality by Design principles and risk-based approaches to development and process modeling.
• Author protocols, reports, and regulatory filings; communicate results effectively.
• Evaluate new technologies, perform data analysis, and ensure GMP compliance.
