Job summary

Marquette Associates seeks a Research Analyst to lead due diligence meetings, develop investment recommendations, and support private equity fund analysis for clients in Chicago. The role emphasizes rigorous quantitative and qualitative assessment, strong client service, and clear communication.

Ideal candidates possess 5–10 years in investment work, progress toward CFA/CAIA, and the ability to present confidently at meetings with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or in progress with investment experience.
• CFA or CAIA in progress preferred.
• Knowledge of private equity industry and managers.
• Strong client service and presentation abilities.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office; capable of quickly learning new software.
• Strong analytical and follow-up skills.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite private equity funds for Marquette clients and conduct extensive due diligence on direct funds.
• Write reports on investment managers for internal and client use.
• Present research and due diligence findings at internal and external meetings.
• Attend weekly Investment Committee meetings.
• Represent Marquette at investment conferences and annual meetings.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis to support Marquette research.
• Analyze market factors influencing asset classes.
• Serve as a resource for consultants.
