Job summary

Mimecast is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to own the day-to-day operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of our global corporate network. The role is based in Lexington, MA on a hybrid schedule, with two in-office days weekly, reporting to IT Infrastructure leadership.

You’ll work hands-on across Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba platforms with Security and Workspace teams to enhance performance and security.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain network infrastructure across Mimecast’s global office locations to support a hybrid workforce.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex LAN/WAN/SD-WAN/SASE issues to minimize downtime for on-site and remote users.
Collaborate with Security to implement network security policies, access controls, and segmentation strategies.
Document topology, runbooks, and change management procedures; lead upgrades and technology refresh initiatives.
Leverage automation to streamline operations and ensure configuration consistency across multi-vendor environments.
