Job summary

Mimecast Limited seeks a Principal Network Engineer to own design, build, and maintenance of our global corporate network. Based in Lexington, MA, this role blends hands-on engineering with cross-team collaboration to deliver secure, high-performance connectivity for a hybrid workforce.

You’ll work with Juniper, Cisco Meraki, and Aruba platforms, drive upgrades, and uses automation to raise efficiency. A strong background in BGP/OSPF and wireless planning is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications preferred.
Extensive enterprise network engineering experience across multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Mimecast’s global network infrastructure across sites.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex LAN/WAN/SD-WWAN issues for hybrid work.
Collaborate with Security to implement network policies and segmentation.
Lead upgrades and technology refresh initiatives for performance and scalability.
Automate network operations using Python/Ansible to improve consistency.
