Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our primary care team, offering meaningful patient care within an integrated healthcare system and flexible work-life balance.

As a Primary Care NP, you'll evaluate patients, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, provide preventive care, and coordinate referrals, with collaboration from physicians and an empowered care team. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Texas NP license is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• DEA.
• Texas RN or RN Compact licensure.
• National NP certification in area of specialty.

Essential Functions Of The Role

As a Primary Care NP, you'll care for patients across the spectrum of acute, chronic, and preventive medicine. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while working closely with physicians and an experienced care team.

Your Role Will Include

• Evaluating and diagnosing acute and chronic conditions
• Performing comprehensive and problem-focused examinations
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Developing evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribing medications and managing chronic disease
• Providing preventive care and health counseling
• Educating patients and families about treatment, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices
• Coordinating specialty referrals and follow-up care
• Performing procedures within your scope of practice
• Participating in population health and quality-improvement initiatives

Key Success Factors

We're looking for a collaborative, compassionate NP who enjoys practicing primary care and building strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

Required

• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
• DEA
• Texas RN or RN compact from Nurse Licensure Compact
• National Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty
• Ability to meet applicable credentialing and privileging requirements
