Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our primary care team. This role provides comprehensive care across acute, chronic, and preventive medicine with support from an integrated health system and flexible scheduling.

The ideal candidate will hold Texas NP licensure, BLS, DEA, and national NP certification, and will participate in population health initiatives while delivering high-quality patient encounters and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• DEA registration.
• Texas RN or RN compact license.
• National Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Ability to meet credentialing and privileging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and diagnosing acute and chronic conditions.
• Performing comprehensive and problem-focused examinations.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Developing evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribing medications and managing chronic disease.
• Providing preventive care and health counseling.
• Educating patients and families about treatment, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Coordinating specialty referrals and follow-up care.
• Performing procedures within your scope of practice.

Essential Functions Of The Role

As a Primary Care NP, you'll care for patients across the spectrum of acute, chronic, and preventive medicine. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while working closely with physicians and an experienced care team.

Your Role Will Include
