Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Product Owner to lead the enhancement of its pricing engine, a global platform that drives data‑driven pricing decisions across the enterprise. This hybrid Chicago/Northbrook role owns the platform roadmap, pricing rules, data and capabilities that support commercial teams worldwide.

You will partner with the Pricing Director, engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into deliverable user stories, govern releases, and ensure scalable,

• Facilitation skills – ability to lead small to medium groups of internal stakeholders towards desired outcomes in order to meet business objectives

Responsibilities

• Guide the development team by defining the vision, value and context of “why” behind product capabilities/features and help to plan “how” to best deliver them
• Work closely with the Pricing Director and software engineering, following Agile principles, to help define requirements/user stories, incorporate feature requests, estimate development effort and prioritize/groom backlog items
• Collaborate with the Pricing Director on roadmap management and release planning
• Work with UI/UX/Designers to generate wireframes and prototypes to support user stories and product demonstrations
• Facilitate sprint planning and work alongside the Scrum Master to ensure that commitments are met and any re‑prioritization decisions are fully informed
• Support the development team throughout the development cycle by elaborating user stories and advising on priorities. Keep track of industry best practices and continuously suggest process efficiencies for the development team.
• Organize the end‑of‑sprint demos to communicate to internal stakeholders the output of each sprint. Validate whether features have been completed and decide when they will be released
• Support development of the technical product collateral, such as release notes and online help content
• Support an efficient cross‑functional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle
• Execute a robust set of processes, focused on product development, release management and product support
• Leverage a standard set of product management and software development tools
