Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst II to partner with Merchandising and Marketing in our Store Support Center.

You will analyze complex data to develop pricing models for everyday, promotional, and seasonal pricing, balancing margins and competitive positioning. The role requires 3–5 years of pricing analytics, a Finance/Economics/Statistics background, and familiarity with SaaS pricing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics or Statistics.
• 3–5 years of quantitative pricing or analytics experience in grocery, CPG or retail.
• SaaS business knowledge and ability to translate business needs into pricing insights.
• Knowledge of rules-based pricing and pricing optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to persuade and coordinate.
• Experience with retail pricing tools (preferred).
• SQL/Alteryx and Python skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of pricing strategies and definitions based on goals.
• Collaborate with category managers to develop pricing rules and strategies.
• Develop and implement pricing processes with category managers for review and execution of recommendations.
• Assess data from internal and external sources to derive pricing insights and market trends.
• Use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing and market share.
