Job summary

Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. is seeking a General / Flex Estimator (Preconstruction) to support early design, budgeting, and competitive bid phases for complex commercial projects.

The role requires adaptability, strong estimating fundamentals, and proficiency with takeoffs and cost modeling across multiple trades. This hybrid position is based in Pennsylvania with opportunities to contribute to a family‑owned firm with a 70-year history.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–7+ years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience.
• Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam for estimating.
• Experience with mid- to large-scale projects ($12–$50M).

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specs to develop budgets and cost proposals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs across trades and adjust for design phase.
• Support preconstruction with cost modeling and value engineering.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor proposals for competitive pricing.
• Prepare RFIs and incorporate revisions into estimates.
• Collaborate with managers and owners on handoff and procurement strategies.
