Placements24 is seeking a diligent Public Relations Officer for a hybrid role in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will support PR strategies, manage media interactions, draft press materials, and help enhance the client’s public image.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in PR/Communications and 1–3 years of related experience, with strong writing, organization, and teamwork. Proficiency with PR tools and MS Office is preferred, and a willingness to work across remote and in-office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with PR tools and media monitoring services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Good interpersonal skills for building relationships.
• Must be based in or near Queenstown, Eastern Cape to facilitate hybrid work.

Responsabilités

• Assist in developing and executing public relations campaigns.
• Draft and proofread press releases, media advisories, and other PR collateral.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on press clippings and sentiment.
• Support the coordination of media events and press conferences.
• Maintain and update media contact databases.
• Respond to routine media inquiries and channel them appropriately.
• Contribute to social media content creation and management.
• Conduct research on relevant industry news and trends.
• Provide administrative support to the PR department.
