Job summary

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union is seeking a Manager, Public Relations & Communications to shape and protect the credit union's narrative across earned and owned channels. You will lead media relations, executive communications, internal communications, and crisis response to strengthen brand trust in a regulated environment.

The role requires coordinating with Marketing, HR, Compliance, and leadership while delivering cohesive messaging across internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations are preferred.
• 6–8 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related functions.
• Experience developing integrated communication strategies across internal, external, owned, and earned channels.
• Experience managing media relationships, executive communications, and high-visibility scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Lead media relations and external communications strategy across local and regional outlets.
• Coordinate executive communications, messaging, and media coaching for leaders.
• Oversee internal communications in partnership with HR and business units.
• Develop and oversee content across owned channels including blogs and press centers.
• Monitor reputational risk, crisis communications, and agency relationships.
