Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a PPE Engineer to join the Built Environments team in a hybrid role based at Research Triangle Park, NC. The role requires on-site presence 3 days per week and involves engaging with clients, planning investigations, and applying UL requirements to testing and product inspection.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and 2+ years of experience, with strong communication, PM, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years engineering experience.
• Experience in textile development or testing preferred.
• Strong communication skills with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine project scope, plan investigations, and set specifications (cost, time, samples).
• Travel to client sites for testing or witness tests as needed.
• Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues and project costs.
• Coordinate laboratory activities and schedule technicians.
• Prepare data sheets, instructions, and reports for clients.
• Apply UL requirements and equivalent standards in project work.
