Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a qualified engineer for a hybrid role based in RTP, North Carolina, with required on-site presence three days per week and occasional client-site testing. The role emphasizes project management, testing protocols, and UL compliance knowledge, with opportunities to interact directly with clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, has strong proficiency in MS Office, and can communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Power/energy systems knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine project scope and plan investigations including cost, time, and sample requirements.
• Travel to client sites to conduct tests or witness activities as needed.
• Coordinate communication with clients to explain UL procedures and project costs.
• Provide technical assistance on product inspection and UL requirements.
• Review files and manufacturer information to establish test programs.
• Prepare data sheets and instructions for laboratory staff and scheduling.
