Job summary
Siemens Mobility is seeking a technical support engineer to be the first point of contact for customers, diagnosing and resolving cloud-based software issues related to power systems. You will assess urgency, coordinate with SMEs, and ensure timely resolution within SLAs.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience. Hybrid work is allowed; reporting into Houston, TX one day per week.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 2 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with zero years experience.
- Experience with advanced power systems analysis tools and transmission planning.
- Programming/scripting in Python or Fortran; customer-facing technical support experience.
Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for customers and assess urgency and action plans.
- Resolve software issues with Siemens’ cloud offerings and coordinate with SMEs.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal departments as needed.
- Maintain knowledge base and provide after-hours support per SLAs.
