Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to act as the primary technical escalation point within the service organization, handling advanced diagnostics, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex equipment issues.

You will guide remote and on-site troubleshooting, translate findings, and drive permanent corrective actions to restore operations. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3–5+ years in industrial electrical

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in technical support, field service, commissioning, or product support in industrial electrical systems.
• Bachelors in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and BOMs.
• Solid understanding of power distribution systems and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience with Salesforce and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics & root cause analysis for complex equipment issues.
• Lead investigations across electrical systems and validate corrective actions.
• Serve as primary escalation point for Tier 1 unresolved issues; own cases to closure.
• Provide engineering feedback to drive permanent improvements.
• Develop troubleshooting procedures and technical playbooks.
