Job summary

GFT is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Power Group in Marlton, NJ. This hybrid role requires regular attendance at the Marlton, NJ office.

The engineer will work on power transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects, focusing on low to medium voltage design for buildings and substation facilities. Candidates should have 4+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, EIT; PE preferred, or the ability to obtain license within the first year.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT required; PE preferred or ability to obtain license within first year.
• 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong field survey experience and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Electrical power design experience (low to medium voltage).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support utility and power substation projects for clients.
• Design low to medium power systems for buildings and substation facilities.
• Oversee electrical systems design including LV/MV distribution, standby generation, lighting, access control, security and fire alarm systems.
• Train junior staff in field work and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budgets.
• Educate the team on evolving electrical codes.
